In the rear left wheel well was a rust hole... The seam sealer did not attach to the body, so 30 years of rain and dirt had enough time to create this:
So I started to cut away the rott, and - as always - it starts small and gets bigger:
...and - also as always - several different pieces of sheet metal are affected...
Re-construction starts - bottom and lower edge piece first:
getting better (excuse the bird poop like welding - but from all the things I am not good at, welding is the worst!)
a layer of zinc spray will (hopefully) prevent those issues in the future:

and the same treatment for the inside:
Sika flex 221 to seal the seams:
and the lower edge welded and sealed as well:
Tomorrow I will add a layer of anti stone chip / sealer (I expect it difficult to mimic the original texture) and later a lick of Alpinaweiß will follow...
It might not be perfect, but a decent repair for a daily driver...
